During my recent stay at the Swan, nestled in a charming historic village in New Zealand, I found it a notable blend of value and comfort. The location is exceptional, enveloped in stunning scenery, perfect for those keen on exploring. The room we were upgraded to was spacious, providing ample area to organize ourselves before heading home. The free Wi-Fi was a nice touch, allowing me to stay connected while soaking in the ambiance. Dining at the pub was a highlight; the fish and chips were outstanding, and the bar staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant offered a varied menu, making it a convenient choice for meals. While the housekeeping was generally on point, a little more attention to detail could enhance the experience-there were a few long hairs in the bathroom that should've been addressed. For travelers looking for an authentic experience, decent amenities like electric kettles and a flat-screen TV add to the overall value. I'd recommend the Swan for those seeking a homey feel at a reasonable price, but a slight upgrade in cleaning practices would elevate the stay further.
